40th Birthday Party

40th Birthday Party

To style and design a husband's 40th Birthday party at their family home in Gerrards Cross for 80 guests. Theme: casual rustic, eating area and dance area with bar. To keep within budget.

At front of house large white balloons with black and white tassels. Walking through the house to the patio. We created a canopy with festoon lights from the house connecting to the marquee.  The patio had a large fire pit and we planted Bamboo Tiki Oil Torches in the flower bed.

Entering the double connected Capri marquee to the right we had rustic tables and benches with white table cloth and hessian runner.  Black candle lanterns, vases with Eucalyptus branches and Zantedeshia Black Star flowers (which deep maroon in colour).

Hessian bunting surrounding the eating area of the marquee. Silk foliage under the arches of the marquee.

The vintage wooden bar surrounded by wooden crates to create as shelving and framing of the bar.  They were also used behind the bar for storage.  Behind the bar was a slated black board with list of drinks available and also another black board with list of signature cocktails. To the left of the marquee, wooden dance floor, Giant LED 40th DJ, disco lighting and smoke machine!

We also arranged a vintage steel bath with water and ice filled with beer/lager.

Surrounding the dance area we had vintage wooden barrels as poseur tables with jar candle holders. The catering was sourced by the client.  We organised a vintage wooden table for donuts and chocolate fudge brownies.  Also, we had two, 8ltr water dispensers on stands with glasses.

Wonder staff were there from start to finish!

Paula organised an amazing party for my husband’s 40th birthday.

We met several party planners but Paula stood out from the start and she delivered exactly what we wanted – a fun, relaxed party but with lots of special touches and a great atmosphere.

Paula created a magical space in our garden with a fully staffed bar, relaxed seating area and fabulous dance floor. She coordinated and managed every detail from the marquee, lighting and table set up, to checking the cocktail ingredients and hand delivering letters to our neighbours. She designed all the decor and even found us the perfect DJ.

Paula had endless suggestions to make the party fun and unique but even more importantly she gave us great advice on how to achieve the experience we wanted within our budget.

Paula is extremely easy to work with and very flexible - she rose to every challenge quickly and calmly. On the night, Paula and her team ensured everything was flawless, right up until the last guest left in the early hours of the morning.

Paula is professional and friendly and great fun to work with - she took all the stress out of the party and let us just focus on the fun! We would use her again in an instant.
